STRAWBERRY BANANA & PEACH SMOOTHIE RECIPE

HAPPY NATIONAL STRAWBERRY DAY!!

As you should know, I love celebrating the little things in life! So if there is a day dedicated to celebrating strawberries, I'm all in! Today's little-known holiday is what inspired me to do a bit of research on the health benefits of strawberries and also make one of my favorite smoothies!   

Before I wrote this post I was not aware of all the health benefits of strawberries.  

Strawberries are high in Vitamin C (89.4 mg), folate (36.5 mcg), fiber (3 grams), and manganese (19.8 mg) and are low in calories! The only drawback is that they are high in sugar (7.4 grams per 1 cup). But I'm okay with the sugar content; at least it's not processed sugar!

Today I made a strawberry, banana & peach smoothie and I wanted to  share the recipe with y'all!  This smoothie is light, refreshing, and HEALTHY! It comes in at just under 200 calories plus is packed with vitamins and minerals!

 

HEALTHY STRAWBERRY BANANA & PEACH SMOOTHIE!

HEALTHY STRAWBERRY BANANA & PEACH SMOOTHIE!

 

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 medium banana

1 cup sliced strawberries

1/2 cup frozen peach slices

1/2 cup milk

Total calories: approximately 175 calories (if using skim milk)

 

DIRECTIONS:

Add all of your ingredients to a blender or NutriBullet and blend until smooth!

SIP & ENJOY :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

P.S.

If you read my post on how to make a Life's A Peach smoothie, you'll know that I only make smoothies with my NutriBullet! It blends my ingredients within seconds as opposed to a blender which never seems to do the job no matter what setting I put it on!
